About Hugo

Hugo is a young Belgian figure skater with Japanese roots. He was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany, on 25 February 2014.

Hugo has been around ice rinks since he was very small, as his elder sister also skated. He started practising figure skating more seriously after beginning elementary school.

He enjoys figure skating and hopes that more people will see that it is a sport for both girls and boys. Figure skating requires not only music, dance and artistry, but also strength, flexibility, coordination and discipline.

Hugo has competed in Belgian national competitions and international novice events. After a serious injury in 2025, he is now building his way back on the ice step by step.

For the 2026–2027 season, Hugo is preparing for a new chapter in his skating journey.
